5-Minute Demo: Cosmic Frog

Video Transcript

Welcome to the demo of Cosmic Frog!

In the next few minutes, we’ll show you how to: Set up your free Cosmic Frog account, create a new model or use a pre-built template, upload data, build and run scenarios, and analyze and share scenarios.

Let’s get started!

Creating your free Cosmic Frog account is easy. Hop on over to Optilogic.com and click on ‘create a free account’. Enter contact information, then create a username and password. You can access everything you’ll see in this demonstration with your free account.

The best place to start is the Home Page. We recommend you watch a tutorial video, read the documentation guide, or chat with our friendly support team.

You can even help save the universe from too many llamas!

You can build a new model from scratch or use a template. Don’t want to use your own data? No problem. Use our pre-built template model, “Blast Off to Space”, to get started. Ready to use your own data? There are plenty of easy and fast options for upload, including an automated converter for legacy models, and a Resource Library filled with template models.

You can also import and export Excel and CSV files, use SQL Editor, Python scripts, or our OneDrive connection, or direct connect to your model with your ETL of choice–like Alteryx. Want to collaborate with your team?

Our cloud-native solution makes it easier than ever to share models across teams and time zones. Share a copy of your model with one click. Now it’s time to ask and answer all your supply chain design questions.

Go to “Scenarios” to build and run what-if scenarios. Let’s look at an example.

What if our Dallas DC is shut down as part of a merger and acquisition strategy, and we need to redirect inbound and outbound flows through the other 6 DCs in our network? To answer questions like these, we combine the power of three technologies in one platform – Network Optimization and Intelligent Greenfield, Simulation, and Risk. You get to choose the right resource for your SCD modeling needs. No need to ask IT for a new laptop or worry about tying up your local machine. Everything solves 100% in the cloud.

Hyperscale with Gurobi – the fastest solver on the market – to solve dozens, to hundreds of scenarios in minutes with parallel-solve capability. That means you can solve all your scenarios in the time it takes other solutions to run one scenario.

This changes the game in supply chain design. You can now look at the entire solution landscape by running true sensitivity analyses, with the cloud solve infrastructure to run every permutation. This enables you to zero in on exactly the right design strategy.

Within minutes you get an answer to the question: What do we do when Dallas closes due to the merger?

Next, use our built-in Maps and Analytics. You can use the map to see the changes in product flow and distribution when Dallas is closed. Use Analytics to review your results and communicate to stakeholders. Use our pre-built template dashboards or build your own.

Ready to share with your team?

Send a copy of the model, or export your dashboards to a PDF, PowerPoint, or image and include them in your e-mails and presentations. You can also connect your model directly to other analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Use Optilogic’s simulation engine to test the performance of supply chain policies and quantify the true service level impacts of proposed design changes. Run hundreds of replications across multiple scenarios to evaluate potential supply chain changes at the SKU-level of granularity.

Use shipment or order level detail and include variations in demand, work centers, lead times, transport times, and more to see how the supply chain will behave. Use the new Inventory Simulation Optimization to go beyond traditional safety stock optimization and set your inventory policies using a combination of genetic algorithms and simulation.

We help you take a proactive approach to risk. Use our Risk Engine to identify and quantify risks at the Supplier, Facility, Customer, and Network level. These include external risks like proximity to a nuclear power plant and operational risks like percentage of volume that is single-supplier sourced. When the next disruption may be just around the corner, resilience is crucial.

Balance financials, service, and risk with Cosmic Frog—to make more informed supply chain decisions beyond just cost.
